VO International Expeditions - Panama

Remote tropical rain forests and misty cloud forests..…incredible wildlife diversity….fascinating Spanish colonial history…..the Panama Canal, past and present…..diverse Native American cultures ……wild rivers and coastlines… ….and the list goes on.

Panama scores high on all accounts and delivers a world-class destination get- away for an adventure vacation!

With far fewer visitors than neighboring Costa Rica, an excellent network of preserves and parks, and a stable and safe infrastructure, Panama offers many unique attractions for the adventure-minded traveler.   Panama’s extensive coastline has hundreds of miles of undeveloped beaches and mangroves, and the country has well over 1,000 mostly uninhabited islands -- far more than any other country in Central America.

Solitude is the rule here.   Panama’s still largely unexplored territory offers a wide range of activities, including sea-kayaking, rafting, mountain-biking, forest trekking, observing wildlife and plants, exploring history, interacting with Native American cultures, snorkeling, and fishing.   This small but extremely diverse country is the only nation on the planet to have three World Biosphere Reserves.  Large tracts of Panama are still inaccessible by vehicle – in fact, the road to South America stops here!   So come to the end of the road, and experience for yourself why this little country that packs a big punch in variety is sure to be one of your favorite all-time destinations.
